Sam Cardigan was renting a the top floor apartment of a highrise and hadn’t been heard from in nearly a week. His family requested a welfare check after first being denied access to the secure building. Several Police officers attempted to contact Sam over the weekend but failed to enter the apartment.
It was a now Monday in late August… with a copy of the Emergency Protection Petition in hand, Sam’s determined family was finally granted access to his secure high-rise apartment building. They were now on scene with a court order demanding entry into this otherwise fortified top-floor apartment.
Nothing could have prepared this family for what they were about to walk in on.
They found him on his back in the middle of his platform bed; he lay motionless in a pool of his own urine, sweat, feces and vomit.
It was a horror show and his family was now front and center of this disturbing scene.
Sam had been laying fully paralyzed on his back now for at least two days. He was awake yet unable to move a muscle, speak and unable to respond to the Police Officers.
Trapped alone in his apartment, in his mind and in his motionless body, Sam did the one thing he could…
He prayed for Grace.
Sam fell into coma. His phone was found next to him swollen and covered with black soot on his bed. The battery had a melt down of sorts.

After some critical tests Sam’s team of doctors asked his family to NOT intubate. Sam suffered catestrophic brain, organ and muscle damage. His body was actually in a state of decomposition and muscle was breaking down into a deadly toxin. Sam was a biohazard.
